SIESS

It’s a tool that contains all the scientific equipment of the Navarre R&D+I System  

Each piece of equipment has a technical description, location and contact form through which you can request information or express interest in using the equipment. 

Any entity that carries out R&D+I in SINAI is obliged to be part of SIESS. 

In addition, there are other Navarrese entities that do not belong to the System, but which have unique equipment and infrastructure and voluntarily join to combine capacities at the regional level. 

All the scientific equipment of the participating entities. 

Only simple equipment for basic use in any laboratory is excluded from this obligation. 

By publishing all their equipment and infrastructure, SINAI stakeholders comply with one of the Cooperation obligations established by the Provincial Law on Science and Technology. 

If you are part of the technical staff, in addition to showcasing the technical and operational features of your equipment, you can use SIESS to find other specialists in your field or other related areas. You can find equipment and colleagues to collaborate with, as well as experts working in your field with whom you can share experiences or solve specific problems. 

If you are a Head Researcher, you can use SIESS to present your activity, projects, achievements, through the capabilities and in the description of your research group’s flagship equipment. Use keywords and provide the titles of your latest projects to bring your activity to the attention of more people. 

From a strategic point of view, you can see how other stakeholders in the System are equipped in terms of state-of-the-art infrastructure. Collaborate and plan your investments and growth plans more efficiently. 

If you are a technology-focused company, a startup, or an SME with a scientific foundation… it’s important to understand the scientific-technological infrastructure capabilities of organizations in your area, locate nearby service providers, identify technological partners for projects in your city or collaborative grant applications, evaluate potential equipment investments, or establish ongoing collaboration agreements… these are opportunities worth exploring. 

Because optimal management of public resources is a goal in any field, and also in this context of R&D+I. The first step is to know the existing resources, plan new investments, avoid duplication, provide access to underused equipment… 

The Government of Navarre uses SIESS as a unique reference for advanced equipment in multiple regional initiatives and strategies, such as Polo IRIS or the Personalised Medicine Strategy of Navarre. 

If, in addition to knowing the capabilities of SINAI, you are interested in finding out more about a piece of equipment, SIESS allows you to directly contact the person responsible for each piece of infrastructure in its database.

The person in charge will give you the information you need about the equipment, its availability, technical or analytical capabilities, existing possibilities for contracting services, ongoing projects, etc.

SIESS is for you too. 

We know that almost 40% of SIESS visits are made from outside Navarre. SIESS is a magnificent (and prolific) catalogue of the capacity and potential of SINAI, in purely scientific-technological terms. 

The SIESS Community is a group of people who, since SIESS was formed, have worked together to nurture the equipment and infrastructure platform, to keep the database updated and seek new ways of cooperation.
