04 Nov NANOUPTAKE
2018 – 2019 The main objective of the Nanouptake project – Overcoming barriers to the arrival of nanofluids on the market (COST Action CA15119) – is the creation of a European network made up of R&D institutions and relevant industries in this field, in order to join forces to develop and promote nanofluids as advanced materials for use as heat transmitters/thermal stores that considerably increase the efficiency of the different systems where they could be applied.
Through the development of nanofluids, the increase in levels of technological preparation (known as TRLs) and the overcoming of the barriers that make it difficult to reach the market, Nanouptake aims to contribute to achieving the European objectives associated with the Horizon 2020 Energy and Climate programme (Social Challenges 3: safe, efficient and clean energy and 6: climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials). Made up of more than 37 institutions from 21 countries, the Nanouptake project began its journey in October 2016. To achieve the main objective, the specific objectives mentioned below were put in place, setting their deadline for achievement at the end of 2020:
- Reaching a consensus on the preparation and characterisation of nanofluids, including the entire supply chain.
- Accelerating the transfer of knowledge from fundamental research to industry by identifying and addressing barriers hindering the use of nanofluids in industrial applications.
- Creating an open space so that new research in the field can be incorporated into Nanouptake’s COST Action.
2018 – 2019 – ADItech participated as a guest in the working groups, encouraging the participation of SINAI agents in the achievement of proposals and projects.
